I am just wondering if anyone can give me advice to replacing my 4965AGN wifi-link card in my x61 to a wifi-link 5100/5300? I've heard that the newer ones have better support, lower power consumptions and lower temperatures! Ever since i got my x61, the palm rest area has always been blazing hot on the right side. so i assume its the wifi card. Does anyone know if I can replace the card? Also does anyone know if its actually better to change to newer ones? thank you very much!5300

  1. That's great news! And yes, I'm happy to wait a little longer for a working kext for the 5100 AGN! Although, if people are inpatient I guess they could try a WiFi Adapters like the Dynamode WL-700N-MINI, D-LINK 54M DWL-G122 or DLink DWA-643 Xtreme N ExpressCard? I have considered these myself, but not sure how well they work.
